Young lady made us a great sub. We like Subway because everything is fresh and made into a sub sandwich just the way you order it. But sometimes you find a staff person who just seems to make it special, just.for you, unlike the regular every day sandwich. The lady at Appomattox Subway did just that. Thank you.

As someone said in a review earlier this week, you will be standing in line behind people who aren't there - it is the online orders. I understand what they are trying to do but it isn't fair. As it is, there's no way to know how many sandwiches someone ahead of you will be ordering. Either those sandwiches need to be made separately by separate staff as the other reviewer suggested or they should have people take a number and just sit down until called. Who wants to stand in a line without any idea of the number ahead of you? Or better yet, open another Subway location in Appomattox. I'm not coming back to this one.

I frequently order curbside pick up because I have 3 kids and hate holding up the line ordering 4-5 subs at a time. So this past Monday night I ordered curbside, 4 subs, 6 cookies, and 4 drinks. Order is always placed in the app and allows you to take off what you don't want or add what you do want. This order I had 2 of the exact same subs, and then 2 others that were different. I pickup the order and get it home about 15 mins later only to realize that ALL 4 SUBS WERE MADE WRONG. I had a chicken bacon ranch with just chicken and bacon. No cheese, no ranch, but had onion. I had a turkey and cheese that was only supposed to be just turkey and cheese but instead it had green peppers, ranch, onion, and the wrong cheese. My last two subs that were supposed to be identical chicken bacon ranch had no lettuce, no ranch, no cheese, no pepper. The only thing on these 2 subs were chicken, bacon, and onion. I decided I'd call Subway to ask if they'd remake the subs and I'd bring the wrong ones back just so they could see they were all made incorrectly. I called 8 times, literally 8 times over the course of 25 mins and never got an answer. Obviously frustrated, we decided to drive out there because we needed our money back. At this point, I decided I wasn't going to allow them to remake the subs and ordered elsewhere. We pull into Subway, 1 car in the parking lot, 2 people in line, yet no employees seen anywhere. There were no employees behind the counter, literally nowhere in sight. My husband took our food in and a couple mins later 2 employees come out from the back. He tells the female our problem and she says " I made those subs exactly right". He said "I wouldn't be here if these subs were right". After some back and forth between them, the male employee calls the owner because the 3 employees there (including one that called himself the manager) didn't know how to do a refund. The "manager" then made this comment "is this going to come out of our paychecks" while my husband was waiting for the refund to be processed. Completely unnecessary. The female employee made all 4 of our subs wrong and the "manager" is blaming us for asking for a refund. Don't forget they wouldn't even pick up the phone. Fast forward 30 mins later, we are finally leaving with a voided ticket. Pretty pathetic, isn't it? Bottom line.. Subway needs to hire better employees. My toddler could follow directions better than the female who made our subs. "Managers" should be able to do everything in the store with their eyes closed. Employees should pick up the phone when it rings and be waiting behind the counter to fix a sub when people walk in. Needless to say, I won't be ordering from here anytime soon. If/when I do again, I won't do curbside pickup and hopefully, all new employees will be working!

  2. Avoid peak hours to minimize waiting time in line or for curbside pickup
  3. For a unique option, try purchasing a container of just tuna to make your own sandwich at home

This place is ridiculous walked in and the to employees where behind the counter arguing about having to clean and refuse to acknowledge that people were stand in line waiting to order. No wonder no one wants to work there or eat there it is bad and the Appomattox Community deserves better

3/5Celena England

I would have given 5 stars, because the sub was phenomenal, but the woman making the sub acted as if being there was an issue. No matter the amount of money spent. It's my hard earned money and when I spend it I'd like to not feel as if I'm a burden.
