Now, this is a really good gold farm; it’s a steady gold farm for the Wild Vine, but you also have a chance at other items. The Wild Vine is currently going for around 400 gold each on the US Realms and 600 gold each on the EU Realms. That’s a nice roughly 20K steady gold per hour. You also have a chance at some battle pets, which go for a decent amount of gold.
Additional Items and Transmogs
There’s also a whole heap of transmogs that you can get from doing this farm. One of the main ones would definitely be the First Mate Hat, a really good transmog that a lot of people are after. So, what we’re going to be doing is we’re going to be farming the trolls at this location. There’s a bunch of trolls spread out around a pretty big location.
Optimal Farming Strategies
This farm is best done in a group, preferably a 2×4, meaning two groups of four people. This way, you’re sharing loot with eight people at once. If you can’t get eight people together to do this farm, as many people as you can get is the best way to go about this. It’s a lot better than doing it solo. Having some people in your group won’t take away from what you’re actually getting; it’ll actually increase the amount of kills you’re getting per hour, which will overall increase the amount of gold that you get from doing this farm.
Maximizing Efficiency and Loot
Now, when doing this farm, you want to make sure you’re getting all the trolls, even on the outside, because what this will do is it will increase the respawn rate of all of the other mobs. It’s really important that you’re going around the full outside.
What I like to do when doing this farm is throw some markers out on the outside of the farm just so people can use those markers as basically a barrier of where to go so they don’t miss any of the mobs that are on the outside of the farm, which is really important to make these mobs respawn a lot quicker. This is how you’re going to get a lot more kills per hour when doing this farm. The best classes to have would definitely be Druids with speed sets, by far the best classes, and obviously, the majority of the farmers out there all have Druids with speed sets.
Profit Potential from Transmogs and Crafts
Now, the normal transmogs will add up over time while you’re doing this farm. But if you get lucky enough to get the battle pets or some of the really good transmogs, they can actually really increase the amount of gold per hour that you make from doing this farm. With the current prices, I was getting around 20K steady gold just from the Wild Vine. Wild Vine are used in a bunch of crafts for professions; this is why they sell so well on the auction house. They are a bit slower movers than some materials, but they do definitely sell on the regional auction house pretty consistently, and you shouldn’t have any trouble whatsoever selling them.
Market Research Before Farming
At the time of you doing the farm, what I’d recommend doing is, first of all, before coming and doing this farm, checking the auction house and seeing if the Wild Vine is at a decent price. If it’s only worth 100-200 gold, I wouldn’t recommend doing this farm. It’s really good when it’s over, say, around 400 gold and even higher. Sometimes these can peak all the way up to like 1K each, and if you see that, then you definitely want to come and do this farm.
Current Market Conditions
At the moment, they’re around 400 gold each on the NA, and it seems to be a really good farm to do. There are not many good farms going around at the end of this expansion at the moment. All of the farms have gone down in the amount of gold per hour you can actually make because we’re at the end of an expansion, at the end of Dragonflight. So, this is a pretty good farm to do, and obviously, you have a chance at battle pets. They’re really good, and there’s also some really, really good transmogs that do drop from here. So if you can get your hands on those, it really will increase the amount of gold per hour you get from doing this farm.
