100% Tomatometer 7 Reviews 91% Audience Score 100+ Ratings This comedy series showcases the antics of the residents of Letterkenny, a small rural community in Canada. Siblings Wayne and Katy run a small farm and produce stand, with Wayne's friends Daryl and "Squirrely" Dan helping out. Many of the town's inhabitants fall into one of several groups, which include the farmers, or "hicks," the out-of-towners on the local hockey team, the local drug addicts and the "natives," who are members of the local First Nation. "Letterkenny" began its life as a YouTube series called "Letterkenny Problems." Read More Read Less Watch on Fandango at Home Premiered Mar 22 Buy Now

Letterkenny: Season 1 | Rotten Tomatoes (1) Elisabeth Donnelly Vox There's a timeless air to Letterkenny's country setting and mix of wacky and grounded characters that makes it feels relatable. Oct 11, 2019 Full Review Letterkenny: Season 1 | Rotten Tomatoes (2) Helen Rosner New Yorker Mostly, they talk-in leaping, twisting, groaning, soaring volleys of puns and insults and wordplay that run so rapid-fire, and deliver such relentlessly satisfying comic payoff, that it's hardly worth watching without the subtitles on. Aug 9, 2019 Full Review Letterkenny: Season 1 | Rotten Tomatoes (3) Valerie Anne Autostraddle If you want some surprisingly queer, obscenely funny, lighthearted joy to escape the real world, Letterkenny is a low-investment, high-reward way to do just that. Jan 11, 2019 Full Review Letterkenny: Season 1 | Rotten Tomatoes (4) Cris Kennedy The Canberra Times (Australia) One of the joys of this show is the riffing the cast do, with word pile-ons, puns and running literate gags that pepper each screenplay. Aug 3, 2022 Full Review Letterkenny: Season 1 | Rotten Tomatoes (5) Cintra Wilson The New York Review of Books ...aside from the toe-tapping brawls and rapturous character assassinations, the real star of Letterkenny is the radical moral decency at its core. Aug 10, 2020 Full Review Letterkenny: Season 1 | Rotten Tomatoes (6) Melissa Camacho Common Sense Media Quirky, irreverent Canadian comedy has edgy jokes, cursing. NEMXA R Best show I've seen in a long time funny as hell Rated 5/5 Stars • Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/08/24 Full Review Jonathan M After having this show recommended to me for years based on the other comedy shows I like, I finally decided to give it a chance. And I have to say; it was painfully unfunny. I didn't smile once. I'm not really sure what people get out of it; is the entire joke "hey, they talk funny and have weird ways of phrasing things?". I truly don't understand how this is considered a funny show. Clearly there is a fanbase and following, and to each their own, it's just not for me, I guess. Rated 0.5/5 Stars • Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/26/24 Full Review Tim S Hilarious and fun show. Cast is great and story is old school. Rated 4.5/5 Stars • Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/02/24 Full Review Christopher K I'm a "city slicker" as designated during my time in the north and this is spot on to how northern Ontario remote communities behave and interact. It's eye rolling in real life but hilarious in this shows depiction. I'm glad I got out and returned to my "city slicker" lifestyle but I have a couple long term friends that can toe the line. While they might be critical of outsiders they are some of the most real and honest people I've ever met. Which is miles away from what most big city dwellers tend to be. Rated 4.5/5 Stars • Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 01/13/24 Full Review Chris V Just an outstanding show, very well written.
