Does GSU buy books back? ›

At the end of each term (or whenever you no longer need the book), the campus store will buy back books based on the book's current market value. Learn more about our return policy.

Include a copy of your confirmation email or order details with your securely packaged return. If you don't have this information, include a note with your name, email address, phone number, and order number. Your refund could be delayed if we can't identify the original purchase details.

The Student Center East is at the corner of Courtland and Gilmer streets. Follow Interstate 75/85 northbound to Exit 246 (Central Avenue/Fulton Street) and take the right fork following the signs to Fulton Street.

Non-Georgia State University Visitors

Visitors must present a physical government-issued photo ID to access the Library. Photos of IDs are not accepted. Visitor hours are less than for current GSU affiliates.

Lifetime Alumni Association members may check out up to 5 books from the University Library for 4 weeks (with up to 2 renewals).

ATLANTA — Georgia State University this week began welcoming nearly 15,000 new students to its Atlanta and Perimeter College campuses, along with more than 35,000 students returning for the start of the 2023-24 academic year. Of those 15,000 new enrollees, more than 7,200 are attending college for the first time.

In short, you don't need to keep every single textbook you ever use, but you should not get rid of all of them, either. Keep the books you think will be useful to you in the future, but donate or sell back the books you will no longer need.

If you know of students who are going to take the same class you just took, you can sell your used textbooks to them at a lower price than the campus bookstore. In this case, it's likely you can still earn more than what you'd get by re-selling it to the bookstore, and the buyer will also save money.
