#75884 Ludicrous! Anyone who knows anything about 3D imaging knows that this claim will never materialize. Anaglyph, polarized, shutter glasses or cross-eyed free view... but not all formats. This is just an attempt by an Italian company to increase the value of the company stock. Maybe I'm just ranting... but really... toggle quoted messageShow quoted text From: George Themelis A friend from Detroit had prescription polarizing glasses madelong time ago. #75885 Dean, note they didn't say "all 3D presentations"... just all 3D films. If they make them circularly polarized, then arguably they work with "all 3D films", since all of the 3D films released now are showing in at least ONE Real-D theater. They also selectively phrased 3D television programming, not saying "on all 3D films and television", but "on all 3D films and for 3D television programming", which basically means that if it works for some 3D televisions they are still telling the truth, although the statement itself sounds a lot more impressive than it really is. I wouldn't get freaked out, Dean. It's just marketing talk. :-) -Eric toggle quoted messageShow quoted text ----- Original Message ----- Ludicrous! #75886 Okay, well now that I read it more carefully, it sounds like it may be feasible, but it's still rather misleading. It's not outrageous to infer that the new glasses will address all 3d formats... and will correct your nearsighted or farsighted vision as well. I'm really not 'freaked out'... It's just that certain 'marketing talk' can be exposed as 'talking trash'. What once was called scamming is now referred to as marketing. I suppose that I'm still ranting a bit... sorry. toggle quoted messageShow quoted text From: Eric Deren Dean, note they didn't say "all 3D presentations"... just all 3D They also selectively phrased 3D television programming, not saying I wouldn't get freaked out, Dean. George Themelis #75887 At the top of what Eric said, it is just a pressrelease. There are no specific details or prices. #75888 What once was called scamming is now referred to as I guess. But I certainly wouldn't expect them to say "we're making 3D glasses for only 10% of the things you might want to use them for." :-) -Eric |

#75889 Of course not... that would be bad marketing. toggle quoted messageShow quoted text From: Eric Deren > What once was called scamming is now referred to as I guess. But I certainly wouldn't expect them to say "we're making -Eric |
